History ...
TES was founded in 1994 to service the "electronics cooling" industries by providing total solutions to
companies facing thermal design and packaging challenges. Although, initially, the main focus of the
company was on electronics cooling and gas turbine (aircraft engine) heat transfer, we have now
expanded our services to include: custom programming, general heat transfer, CFD, stress and vibration
analysis.
The first version of our main CFD software, ElectroFlo, dates back to 1987. ElectroFlo was developed
by Ben Zandi (currently, TES Chairman and CTO) for his doctoral dissertation to be used as a tool to
predict temperature and flow fields inside three-dimensional partial enclosures, with particular
application to cooling of television receivers (research was funded by Philips corporation to study
cooling design of Magnavox TV's). The software was later used at e3 engineering as the main thermal
analysis package for automotive electronic systems and components.
